Seizing the Moment: Winning the 2025 Inaugural Tennessee FFA Contest

In 2025, I stepped into a new arena of opportunity when I competed in the inaugural Tennessee FFA Association Camp & Contest. It was a milestone event—one that marked the beginning of something special for agriculture education in our state. I entered with determination, prepared to measure myself against peers who share the same passion for the profession and the cause.

When my name was announced as the champion of that first contest, I felt a surge of gratitude and purpose. The win validated not only the effort I’ve invested in honing my craft but also the belief I have in the power of using auctioneering and agriculture education to make a difference. The excitement of that moment wasn’t just about taking first place—it was about knowing I was part of something bigger.

That victory reshaped my outlook. It reminded me that opportunity often comes when you lean in, when you show up fully and embrace a challenge. It also made clear that responsibility follows success—having earned the title, I felt a deeper commitment to carry the legacy forward, support others, and raise the bar for what we can achieve together in benefit auctioneering and the agricultural community.

Today, I bring that same momentum and sense of accountability into every event I lead. Winning the inaugural Tennessee FFA contest wasn’t just a highlight—it was a launch point for greater service, greater connection, and greater impact. I’m proud of the accomplishment, but even more excited by what it signifies for what lies ahead.
